Before traveling with friends, I was very worried about experiencing altitude sickness and not being able to adapt to the local climate. The views around the Mount Kailash during the 3-day pilgrimage were breathtaking, especially when the sun's rays made the snow-capped peaks glow. We found this time of the year was perfect but the weather is not always the same. Always listen carefully to your guide as they are watching out for your best interest and care. They know this trek better than you if it is your first time. The trek itself was truly spectacular. The scenery is gorgeous. The vibration of everyone doing their best to achieve their most and completing the Kora , especially Dolma La Pass, was such an inspiration. It is said, one step at a time, no rush, walk and rest as many times as you need at your own pace. Do not concern yourself with others pace, just keep moving forward and you will reach your desired destination. You will be surprised how powerful this trek can be especially in mind. If you say you can do it, you can and you will.
