My Clients’ Real Tibet Travel Story and Reviews
Nothing is more convincing than real experience. Over the years, I’ve helped travelers from different countries finish their Tibet journey. Some have set foot in Lhasa for the first time, fulfilling their dreams; others have completed the Kailash Kora, achieving a sacred pilgrimage. Here, you can see my clients’ real travel stories and reviews; their authentic experiences provide you with the most direct reference.
I organized a private tour for 8 US travelers, including Harvard professors, combining China’s cultural cities, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and Tibet’s highlights. A highlight was the scenic Xining - Lhasa train, where they enjoyed lakes, snow mountains, grasslands, and wildlife. The trip went smoothly with well-coordinated flights, hotels, and guides. Their only regret was not having time for Mount Kailash.
My client - Michael completed Tibet EBC tour safely and commented on Tripadvisor:
Last April, a solo traveler from Russia visited Lhasa. Initially worried about Tibet travel permits and high-altitude travel, she received full support in preparing documents and arranging a suitable itinerary. During the trip, she joined our Tibet group tour, adapted well to the altitude, and especially enjoyed the guide’s insights into Tibetan culture, as well as the hotel’s comfort and central location.
My client - Elena completed Lhasa city tour safely and commented on Tripadvisor:
I designed a private photography-focused tour for Derek, highlighting Lhasa’s rich cultural and human landscapes. The itinerary allowed her to capture monks, local life, traditional architecture, and vibrant Tibetan rituals, providing an immersive experience of Tibet’s unique cultural charm.

Tibet Travel Guide Written by Me
Travel beyond the standard Tibet travel routes with insights gained from years of real experience. From world-famous landmarks like Potala Palace, to remote spiritual routes like Mount Kailash Kora, I share practical knowledge on the best travel seasons for different regions, how to balance scenic value with comfort, cultural etiquette, and local customs, as well as essential high-altitude preparation. Whether you choose a small group tour or a private journey, my goal is to help you experience Tibet in the most authentic and memorable way possible.
Tibet Tour FAQs Concluded by Me
Tibet can be visited year-round, but the best seasons depend on what you want to experience. April to June offers pleasant weather, clear mountain views, and relatively fewer crowds. July and August bring lush green landscapes and warmer temperatures, making it ideal for photography. September to October is known for stable weather and the best visibility of Everest, while winter from November to March, you’ll enjoy the lower prices and a stronger local cultural atmosphere with fewer tourists. I usually recommend specific travel dates based on your chosen route and personal travel style to ensure the best overall experience.
Tibet is a high-altitude destination, so preparation is important - but with proper planning, most travelers can adapt well. I help reduce risks by designing gradual acclimatization itineraries, advising entry city choices, providing pre-trip altitude preparation guidance, and recommending a slower pace during the first days in Lhasa. With these precautions in place, most travelers experience only mild symptoms that typically improve after adequate rest.
In major cities like Lhasa and Shigatse, 3-star - 5-star hotels are available. While in remote areas such as Everest Base Camp or along the Kailash trek route, accommodation is typically in local guesthouses or best-available lodges. Transportation is arranged with comfortable tourist vehicles, private vehicles for customized tours, and experienced plateau drivers to ensure safety. Through the journey, I always try to balance comfort with realistic local conditions.
For Peak Season (May - October), reserving 3-4 months in advance is ideal, while the Kailash pilgrimage season typically requires 5-6 months due to the higher demand. Tibet winter travel is more flexible, and booking 1-2 months is usually sufficient. Tibet travel permits usually need around 3-4 weeks for processing, and earlier booking means you can get better availability for preferred hotels and transportation arrangements.
Yes, most of my clients choose customized Tibet trips. Whether your interests lie in culture and monasteries, photography, luxury comfort, spiritual journeys, or adventure and trekking, I design every trip around your real travel priorities instead of fixed templates.
Tibet is part of China, so you will first need to apply for a China Visa. Travelers eligible for China's visa-free policy do not need a visa. If you are unsure whether your country qualifies for a visa-free entry policy, please inform me of your nationality when booking, and I will check the most accurate information for you.
In addition to a China Visa, you will also need a Tibet Travel Permit. If necessary, you will also need an Aliens' Travel Permit and a Military Area Entry Permit. We will arrange a dedicated staff to process these permits in advance; you only need to provide the relevant information.
