Visiting Tibet during the Shoton Festival, Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival, Tibetan New Year, and other traditional festivals is highly recommended, as you can witness the grand celebrations and rich local customs. If you intend to visit Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, align your trip with the Saga Dawa Festival, which will occur on June 11th, 2025. This important event is characterized by large-scale religious ceremonies, and you can participate in the Kailash Kora alongside devoted pilgrims. Keep in mind that while winter tours in Tibet are appealing, the Kailash Manasarovar region might be inaccessible during this time.
7. What’s the peach blossom period in Nyingchi? Do you have recommended sites to appreciate peach blossoms? The peach blossom period in Nyingchi typically lasts from mid-March to mid-April, with the peak bloom occurring between late March and early April. The recommended places to appreciate the pinky flowers are Gala Village, Bome Peach Blossom Valley, and Suosong Village. Gala Village is home to hundreds of wild and large peach trees, surrounded by green mountains and a flowing river. It has been chosen as the opening site for the annual Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival many times, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking to experience the beauty of the blossoms. Bome Peach Blossom Valley, situated in Bome County, is known for having the largest concentration of peach blossoms in the region. The valley stretches for about 30 km, creating a breathtaking landscape where the peach blossoms form a pink sea. Suosong Village is located at the entrance of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. The village offers a unique perspective for photographing the peach blossoms, with the majestic snowy peaks in the background.

Mr. Bey from Thailand, asked on December 8th, 2023
Special physical preparation or permission
Is there any special physical preparation or permission required to take the 10-day Tibet tour?

Mr. Tsering wangdue from Tibet Horizon, answered on December 8th, 2023
Dear Mr.Bey, thanks for your question.
Since Tibet is located on a plateau, tourists may experience altitude sickness when traveling to high altitude areas such as Everest Base Camp or Mount Kailash, which manifests as dizziness, shortness of breath, insomnia and other symptoms. Therefore, it is recommended that tourists undergo certain physical examinations before departure, especially cardiopulmonary health, to ensure that they are adapted to the plateau environment. If you have chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and heart disease, it is best to travel under the advice of a doctor. In addition, some attractions in Tibet, such as Everest Base Camp and Mount Kailash, require special travel permits. Travel agencies will assist in these procedures to ensure that your trip goes smoothly.
On the plateau, you can not only feel the shock of nature, but also appreciate the rich Tibetan culture and historical relics. Every attraction is full of sacred atmosphere, waiting for your exploration and experience. We look forward to meeting you in this mysterious land and enjoying this unforgettable trip to Tibet together!
