Enjoyable Family Time in Lhasa City and Yamdrok

Our decision to take a family trip to Tibet is just great! I’m glad that all my family members had enjoyed a good time in Tibet. We went to the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Drepung Monastery. We saw delicacy artifacts, stupas, and statues in the halls, fine decorations on the columns, and monks discussing the Buddhist teachings. Our trip to Yamdrok is memorizing. The weather was good I remember, and the lake was tranquil, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. Many yaks wandered on the green grassland, constituting a peaceful scene. In short, I think joining Tibet Horizon’s family tour to Lhasa is a wise choice. With a friendly local guide and thoughtful arrangement, this journey is really wonderful.

  • Mrs. Contreras from Chile, asked on March 6th, 2024

Is Twenty-eight Days Enough for Travel Permit Application?

Hello! We’re a family of 5 from Chile. We just arrived in Beijing. We plan to visit Beijing, Qingdao, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Chongqing, Sichuan, and Xi’an. Now we’re considering a Tibet trip after our Xi’an trip. Our planned trip lasts 28 days. Is it possible to join a Tibet tour now?

Mr. Tenzin Jamphel from Tibet Horizon, answered on March 6th, 2024

Dear Contreras, welcome to China! I’m glad to hear that you’re considering a Tibet tour and it’s absolutely possible to incorporate Tibet into your China trip!

Foreign tourists traveling to Tibet need to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit. Typically, it takes about 15-20 days to obtain the Permit. Now that you’ll travel in China for 28 days before heading to Tibet, you have enough time to apply for necessary Tibet travel document. If you book with us, we’ll help you apply for the Permit and deliver to your address in the Chinese Mainland.

If you have further questions, feel free to contact us!
