My Clients’ Real Tibet Travel Story and Reviews
My clients come from different countries and backgrounds, but they share the same dream of exploring Tibet. Through careful planning and professional support, everyone enjoyed an unforgettable Tibet tour. Their stories and reviews reflect real experiences and honest feedback from their Tibet adventures.
During the busy National Day holiday, obtaining train tickets to Tibet is extremely challenging. Two of our UK clients were eager to travel during this peak season. After many attempts, I finally secured the train tickets they wanted just one day before departure! The effort was worth it — they enjoyed a breathtaking Tibet train journey, experiencing the stunning landscapes along the way. Their smiles at the destination made all the hard work worthwhile.
My client - Helen completed Tibet train tour safely and commented on Tripadvisor:
One of my clients had limited time and specific hotel preferences, so I arranged a flexible itinerary that included a private airport transfer. By adapting the schedule to their needs, I ensured that the Tibet trip was smooth and stress-free. In the end, the Japanese client left Tibet feeling fully satisfied and happy with the personalized experience.
My client - Kentaro completed Lhasa tour safely and commented on Tripadvisor:
Sometimes, unexpected situations happen during a tour. For a pair of Chinese Canadian clients, I found out that they had already visited a particular monastery included in the group itinerary. On the last day, we quickly adjusted the plan based on their flight schedule and arranged a visit to a nearby monastery instead. They still enjoyed a meaningful cultural experience before heading to the airport, making the end of their Tibet journey just as memorable.
My client - Edgar Moore completed Lhasa tour safely and commented on Tripadvisor:

Tibet Tour FAQs Concluded by Me
Yes, all international travelers need a Tibet Travel Permit. The process is simple and worry-free because we will handle the full application for you.
For travelers from visa-free countries, only a copy of your passport is required.
For travelers from non-visa-free countries, copies of both your passport and China Visa are needed.
Once you provide the documents, we will take care of the rest.
Our Tibet tours are highly flexible. You can choose from scheduled group departures or customize your itinerary to fit your preferred travel dates. We aim to make your journey both convenient and comfortable.
Absolutely! Many travelers opt to extend their trip to neighboring regions. We can design a seamless route that includes Tibet, Nepal, or Xinjiang. Every detail, from inter-regional permits to transportation, is carefully organized. We can ensure smooth transport and minimal travel stress. This also allows you to experience the diverse cultures and landscapes of High Asia in one unforgettable trip.
In Tibet, all foreign travelers must join an organized tour, as independent travel is not allowed. This rule applies to Lhasa, Everest Base Camp, Mount Kailash, and other areas within the Tibet Autonomous Region. Some remote or restricted regions, such as Mount Kailash and border areas, also require additional permits arranged by a licensed travel agency, like Tibet Horizon.
Our Tibet tours are unique because we offer authentic local perspectives you won't find in guidebooks. We prioritize your health by designing gradual ascent routes for safe acclimatization. Our team arranges exclusive cultural encounters and traditional Tibetan experiences for every guest. We also handle all transport and flight connections precisely to ensure a seamless journey. We offer authentic, high-quality experiences led by expert local guides. From cultural immersion to scenic exploration, our tours are designed to let you truly experience the beauty and spirituality of Tibet.
The best time to visit Tibet is from April to October. The weather is stable, temperatures are pleasant, and the skies are clear. This period is ideal for sightseeing, trekking, and visiting Mount Everest or Mount Kailash. Winter, from November to March, is colder but offers fewer crowds and lower travel costs.
Most travelers spend 7 to 10 days in Tibet to explore highlights like Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, and Everest Base Camp. If you plan to visit Mount Kailash and complete the kora, you should allow at least 12 to 15 days. The ideal length depends on your interests, pace, and overall itinerary. If you need, you can contact me directly.
Yes, Tibet tours can be suitable for seniors and families with children, but proper planning is important.
If you are a senior traveler, the first step is to make sure you do not have high blood pressure, heart disease, or other cardiovascular conditions that could be dangerous at high altitude.
If you are traveling with young children, make sure they can clearly describe how they feel. This way, if they feel unwell, they can tell you in time and help prevent any risks.
It is best to choose a relaxed itinerary with enough time for altitude acclimatization. You should avoid very high or physically demanding routes, such as the Mount Kailash kora.
Both the train and the flight have their advantages. Flying is faster and more convenient, especially if you have limited time. Taking the train offers beautiful views of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and helps with gradual altitude acclimatization.
Both options are convenient, but I highly recommend "fly+train". For many travelers, a good option is to fly to Xining first and then take the Xining to Lhasa train for a more comfortable and scenic journey.
No, international tourists cannot remain in Tibet independently after your organized tour ends. According to regulations, independent travel is not allowed, and you must be accompanied by a licensed guide throughout your stay. Once your scheduled itinerary is complete, you are required to depart the region as planned. We ensure all your transport and exit connections are precisely handled for a smooth departure.
