Tibet Weather in February

The winter in Tibet lasts longer than you can imagine. But it doesn’t mean Tibet doesn’t welcome tourists in February. Winter in Tibet doesn’t like winter in other places. In Lhasa, tourists can wear sweaters and jackets to have a tour to those attractions in the capital city of Tibet. You can get to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Nurbulingka, Sera Monastery and other sites by foot, which means you don’t need to wear too much.

From Lhasa to Shigatse, tourists will get the chance to have a sight at Yamdrok Lake, Pelkor Chode Monastery, Karuola Glacier, etc. Tourists need to pay attention to the high altitude places along the road and be careful all the time. Keeping warm is the priority in February when traveling in Shigatse.
