The Stunning Scenery from the Holy City of Lhasa to the Heavenly Lake Namtso

The tour from Lhasa to Namtso was a transcendent trip through the sacred heart of Tibet.

Golden sunlight bathed the ochre walls of the Potala Palace, and the air was filled with whispered mantras and fluttering prayer flags. I felt the sacredness here, away from the city. Later, I followed a local guide to Namtso, which rewards pilgrims with its ever-changing colors - sapphire mornings melting into silver sunsets. The lake, 4,718 meters above sea level, reflects the misty Nyainqentanglha Mountains, and devout Tibetans circumambulate the lake, leaving strings of mani stones like Morse code in the sky. This is more than just a view, it is also a prayer, and every breath I take tastes of eternity.
