8-Day Everest Tour with Deep Tibetan Cultural Immersion

This journey truly brought me closer to Tibet and its rich cultural heritage. Over eight days, we started from Lhasa and traveled through Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Gyantse Kumbum Monastery, and Tashilhunpo Monastery, finally reaching Everest Base Camp. Along the way, we not only admired the breathtaking highland scenery but also gained a deep understanding of Tibetan beliefs and ways of life, thanks to our knowledgeable guide.

What impressed me most was the cultural immersion throughout the trip. At Jokhang Temple, we encountered many pilgrims prostrating with deep devotion. At Tashilhunpo Monastery, we listened to the monks’ chanting, which is a peaceful and sincere moment. We also tasted traditional butter tea and tsampa, and even learned a few simple Tibetan greetings. Made us genuinely immerse ourselves in this land, rather than being mere fleeting visitors.
