This 15-day trip to Tibet was very fulfilling and well-planned. We set out from Lhasa, and while adapting to the altitude sickness, we also visited the landmark attractions of Lhasa. Then the journey began. The first stop was Yamdrok Lake. The lake was really blue, and I took a lot of photos. Then we passed through Gyantse and felt the strong historical atmosphere of Tibet. In Shigatse, we also went to Tashilhunpo Monastery.
As the journey continued, we went to the Everest Base Camp and stayed in an inn at the foot of the mountain at night. Although the high altitude was a bit uncomfortable, it was all worth it for the sunrise the next day.
The journey continued to Saga and Darchen. The scenery along the way was more desolate. The most challenging part of the journey was the kora of Mount Kailash. The three-day hike was tiring. After that, we went to Mansarovar Lake. The lake was very quiet. Finally, we passed through Tingri and returned to Lhasa along the beautiful Yarlung Zangbo River Valley, ending the journey.
