This trip to Tibet was truly the most unforgettable of my life! From the Potala Palace to Barkhor Street, every step in Lhasa was steeped in history. Our guide, Mr. Tenzin Sherab, was incredibly attentive. He not only explained stories about Tibetan Buddhism but also took us to a local teahouse to experience authentic sweet tea.
As we headed towards Everest Base Camp, the scenery along the way was breathtaking. As we crossed the Gyawu La Pass, our guide allowed us to disembark and take photos. It was the first time I saw four snow-capped mountains over 8,000 meters at once, with Mount Everest gleaming golden in the sunlight in the distance.
At the end of the trip, we also visited Namtso. The breeze by the lake was chilly, and the waters were an unreal azure blue. We gathered around the lake for photos, fed yaks, and piled stones for blessings. It was truly a unique journey.
