The drive from Lhasa to Everest Base Camp is about 600 kilometers along the well-paved G318 Friendship Highway. So, tourists can get to EBC from Lhasa by road, which will take about 2 days.

Currently, there are no direct flights from Lhasa to Everest Base Camp. However, you can fly from Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) to Shigatse Peace Airport (RKZ) or Shigatse Tingri Airport (DDR).
If you fly to Shigatse Peace Airport, it takes about one hour (around 360-370 kilometers), depending on the schedule. From there, it covers approximately 350 kilometers and takes about 6 to 7 hours to reach EBC.
If you fly to Shigatse Tingri Airport, the distance is about 370 kilometers, so the flight time will take about 1.5 hours. Following that, the drive to EBC from this airport covers approximately 110 kilometers, taking only about 2.5 hours.
