The entire outer circle route is 54 kilometers from Darchen and back. If you're concerned about the possibility of not being able to finish the Kailash trek, you might consider using the eco-bus to conserve your energy, which is available from Darchen to Sarshung Valley (7km) and Zongto back to Darchen (4km). Thus, the whole Kailash trekking distance can be cut down to 43km.
