8-Day Thrilling Travel in Tibet: Lhasa & Gyantse & Tingri & EBC & Gyirong

Our guide was exceptionally professional and went out of their way to make our trip go as smoothly as possible. When my husband felt the onset of altitude sickness at Everest Base Camp. Our guide immediately sprang into action, providing oxygen and constantly checking on his condition. Their expertise and prompt response ensured he recovered quickly, allowing us to continue enjoying our adventure without any serious issues. The journey itself was filled with incredible sights and cultural experiences. The historic Potala Palace left us in awe with its grandeur and deep history. As we traveled from Lhasa to Gyirong, each stop was more fascinating than the last. We visited ancient monasteries, picturesque valleys, and bustling local markets. Our guide’s insights into Tibetan culture and history added a rich layer of understanding to every site we visited. This tour perfectly balanced adventure, cultural immersion, and breathtaking scenery. The guide’s attention to detail and dedication to our well-being were truly impressive. Thank you for making our journey so unforgettable!"

Dream-Come-True Tour in the Journey from Lhasa to Kathmandu

The scenery was breathtaking every step of the way. Starting in Lhasa, the Potala Palace set the tone with its majestic presence and historical significance. As we moved through Gyantse, the landscapes were simply stunning. We visited serene monasteries and beautiful valleys that felt untouched by time. Reaching EBC was a dream come true. Standing at the foot of the world's highest peak, surrounded by such awe-inspiring beauty, was an experience I'll never forget. One memorable moment was when our guide noticed a herd of yaks grazing near our path. They suggested we stop and take in the view, even arranging for us to meet a local herder who shared stories about life in the mountains. This unexpected interaction added a wonderful personal touch to our journey. The final leg to Gyirong and onward to Kathmandu offered spectacular views of lush landscapes and towering peaks. Every day brought new and unforgettable vistas. This tour was a perfect way to see the best of Tibet's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting an adventure of a lifetime!

We can see Everest Mountain at the EBC.

My son is riding a yak at Yamdrok Lake.

Sera Monastery is very sacred and splendid.

  • Mr. Richard from France, asked on March 12th, 2024

Chinese Group Visa No Need for French?

Hi! I’m from France with French passport. If I fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu and then travel back to Kathmandu with 15 days, I don’t need a Group Visa. It that true?

Mr. Tashi Wangyal from Tibet Horizon, answered on March 12th, 2024

Dear Richard, thank you for extending your question to us.

It’s true that people from countries enjoying 15-day visa-exemption policy, including France, can travel from Kathmandu to Tibet without applying for the Chinese Group Visa. Although tourists from above-mentioned countries are exempted from a Chinese Group Visa, they still need some travel permits required for a Tibet tour. First, travelers need to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit, which is the prerequisite for entering into Tibet. To visit places such as EBC, you’ll need the Alien’s Travel Permit. If you travel to Ngari Prefecture, the Military Area Entry Permit is required.

Our agency can arrange all the necessary travel documents for you. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us.
