On June 25, 2021, the first electrified railway in Tibet, the Lhasa-Nyingchi railway, connecting Lhasa, Shannan and Linzhi, was opened.

The total length of La-Lin railway is 435.48 km, the design speed is 160 km/h, and the whole journey takes 3 hours and 29 minutes.

The Lalin railway starts from Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region, passes through Gongga County, Zhanang County, Naidong District, Sangri County, Jiacha County of Shannan City, Lang county and Milin County of Linzhi City, and finally reaches Linzhi city. Nine passenger and freight transport stations, Gongga, Zhanang, Shannan, SANGRI, Jiacha, Lang County, Milin, gangga and Linzhi, are put into operation in the initial stage.

Lalin railway, the new station building design, adheres to the concept of "one station, one scene", with unique national cultural characteristics, where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. Each station is a new landmark in Southeast Tibet.

There are first class, second class and business cars in the whole train. The fixed number is 755.
