China Reduced Quarantine Times for Inbound Travelers to 7+3
ContentOn June 28, 2022, China said it will cut its mandatory inbound quarantine by half in the nation’s first move to ease COVID-19 borders restrictions since March 2020. Overseas arrivals into China will now only need to quarantine for seven days at a government facility and then an additional three days in home isolation.
Travelers will now only need to spend 7 days in a quarantine facility, and then monitor their health at home for a further three days, according to a revised government protocol released Tuesday by China’s National Health Commission. That’s down from 14 days hotel quarantine in many parts of China currently, and as many as 21 days of isolation in the past.
