To stimulate the tourism market and promote the development of Tibet's cultural tourism industry, the Tibet Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism has launched the "Happy Tibet·Tashi Delek" Tibet Autonomous Region Cultural Tourism Consumption Promotion Campaign on December 30, 2024, offering discount incentives on air tickets and train tickets to attract tourists to experience Tibet's natural beauty and unique culture.

10,000 Tibet Travel Flight Ticket Subsidies

For tourists who purchase round-trip air tickets to travel to Tibet, and stay in hotels or homestays across the Tibet Region for three or more nights, 10,000 Tibet travel air ticket subsidy rewards will be issued. The activity starts from Dec. 30, 2024, to Feb. 28, 2025. And the total budget of this activity is 18 million RMB (more than 2 million USD).

Subsidy Strategy

During the activity period, tourists who book round-trip flights to and from Tibet on online travel platforms, travel for 4 to 21 days, and stay in Tibet hotels or homestays for at least 3 nights with a total payment of at least 450 RMB (61 USD) can get a "Tibet Travel Air Ticket Subsidy.”
Qualified users will get a cash rebate equal to the price of one ticket (either the flight to Tibet or the return flight). The rebate is capped at 1,800 RMB (246 USD).

Subsidy Quota

a. A total of 10,000 subsidies are available. The rebates will stop once all are claimed.
b. The order of eligibility is based on when the entire Tibet trip ends (the departure time of the return flight).
c. The number of subsidies and budget will be monitored, and more spots may be added if needed.

Rebate Amount

a. The rebate will be based on the higher-priced ticket (either the flight to or from Tibet). The maximum rebate per user is 1,800 RMB.
b. The rebate covers ticket costs, airport fees, and fuel charges. It does not include extra services like insurance or airport transfers.

Rules for Redeeming Orders

Flight Tickets

Tickets must meet these conditions:
(1) Both tickets are booked with the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) The flight to and from Tibet must be in the same order and can include direct, connecting, or layover flights.
(3) The booking and travel must happen during the activity period, and the trip must last 4 to 21 days (with at least 3 days and no more than 20 days between the inbound and outbound flights).

Hotels and Homestays

Hotel bookings must meet these conditions:
(1) Booked with the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) Check-in, check-out, and booking dates must all be within the activity period. Check-in cannot be earlier than the arrival date of the flight, and check-out cannot be later than the activity's end date.
(3) Tourists must stay at least 3 nights in Tibet during the activity period, with a total payment of at least 450 RMB. The booking must be completed, and the stay must be finished.

10,000 Tibet Travel Train Ticket Subsidies

For tourists traveling to Tibet by train and staying in hotels or homestays within Tibet for three or more nights, 10,000 travel train ticket subsidies will be provided. The activity starts from Dec. 30, 2024, to Feb. 28, 2025. And the total budget of this activity is 8 million RMB (more than 1 million USD).

Subsidy Strategy

During the activity, tourists who book a train ticket to Tibet, stay for at least 3 nights in hotels or homestays in Tibet with a total payment of at least 450 RMB (61 USD), and complete the trip, can receive a “Tibet Travel Train Ticket Subsidy.”
Qualified users will get a cash rebate equal to the paid amount of one train ticket under their name. The maximum rebate is 800 RMB (110 USD).

Subsidy Quota

a. A total of 10,000 subsidies are available. The rebates will stop once all are claimed.
b. The order of eligibility will be based on when the entire trip ends (the latest check-out time at a Tibet hotel during the activity period).
c. The number of subsidies and the budget will be monitored regularly. More spots may be added depending on the redemption rate and budget usage.

Rebate Amount

a. The rebate will be based on the actual paid amount of the train ticket under the user's name. The maximum rebate per account is 800 RMB.
b. The rebate only applies to the train ticket price and does not include extra services like insurance or train station transfers.

Rules for Redeeming Orders

Train Tickets

Train ticket orders must meet the following conditions:
(1) Booked with the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) Both the booking and travel must happen during the activity period.
(3) The train must be traveling into Tibet, with the departure station outside Tibet and the arrival station within the Tibet Autonomous Region. Transfers are allowed, including on the same train or at the same station.
(4) The train ticket must not have been rescheduled. If rescheduling is necessary due to force majeure, users are advised to cancel the ticket and rebook a new train ticket to Tibet.
(5) The trip must be completed, and the ticket status must show "used."

Hotels and Homestays

Hotel or homestay bookings must meet the following conditions:
(1) Booked with the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) The booking, check-in, and check-out dates must all be within the activity period. The check-in date must not be earlier than the train arrival date, and the check-out date must not be later than the end of the activity.
(3) Tourists must stay for at least 3 nights in Tibet during the activity period, with a total payment of at least 450 RMB. The booking must be completed, and the stay must be finished.

30,000 Subsidies for "Family Travel," "Friends Travel," and "Senior Travel" Groups

The activity starts from Mar. 1, 2025, to Mar. 31, 2025. And the total budget of this activity is 17 million RMB (more than 2 million USD).

During the activity, tourists in the “Family Travel,” “Senior Travel,” or “Friends Travel” can receive a special rebate. To qualify, users must book round-trip flights to and from Tibet on online travel platforms (for trips lasting 4 to 21 days), stay for at least 3 nights in hotels or homestays in Tibet, and spend at least 450 RMB in total. Eligible users will receive a fixed rebate of 600 RMB (82 USD) per account after completing the trip.

Subsidy Quota

a. A total of 30,000 subsidies are available. Rebates will end once all are claimed. Eligibility is determined by the completion time of the trip (departure time of the return flight).
b. The subsidy distribution will be monitored, and the quota may be increased depending on usage.

Rebate Amount

The rebate is fixed at 600 RMB per account.

Rules for Redeeming Orders

Flight Tickets

Flight orders must meet the following rules:
(1) Tickets must be booked using the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) Both the inbound and outbound flights must be booked in the same order and cannot be split. The order must include a round-trip ticket, with flight types including direct, connecting, or layover.
(3) Booking and travel must happen during the activity period, and the trip must last between 4 and 21 days (the number of days between the inbound and outbound flights must be ≥3 days and ≤20 days).
(4) Tickets must be for one of the following categories:

Family Travel: At least one traveler aged 30-60 years old and at least one traveler under 18 years old (not including 18).
Senior Travel: Travelers aged 60 and above.
Friends Travel: At least two travelers aged 18-60 years old.

Hotels and Homestays

Hotel or homestay orders must meet the following rules:
(1) Booked using the same registered account (UID) on the same platform.
(2) Booking, check-in, and check-out dates must all fall within the activity period. The check-in date cannot be earlier than the arrival date of the inbound flight, and the check-out date cannot be later than the end of the activity period.
(3) A minimum of 3 nights must be spent in Tibet during the activity period, with a total payment of at least 450 RMB. The booking must be completed, and the stay must be finished.

Step 2: Visit the Activity Page and Register for Coupons

Step 3: Book the Required Orders

Step 4: Begin Your Trip to Tibet

Travel to Tibet according to your plan, using the pre-booked round-trip flight/train tickets and staying in the pre-booked hotels or homestays.

Step 5: Receive Cashback Notification the Following Month

After completing your entire Tibet tour, ensure your phone remains accessible. Eligible participants will receive a notification from the platform’s official customer service via phone at the end of the following month (adjusted to the next working week if there are holidays) informing them of their successful cashback.

Step 6: Check Cashback Status

Go to “My Wallet” on the platform to check the cashback amount. Cashback funds can be withdrawn to your bank card or directly used for purchasing cultural tourism products on the platform.

Step 7: Special Cases and Appeals
