Day 1: Nyingchi - Gala Village - Lulang Forest

Attractions: Gala Peach Blossom Village, Namjagbarwa Peak, Sejila Pass
    Meals: Dinner
Hotel: Homestay Guesthouse at Lulang Village

Welcome to Tibet! After picking you up at Nyingchi Mainling Airport, we're off to the heart of the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival at Gala Peach Blossom Village. Known as the “First Peach Blossom Village,” this village is surrounded by over 1,200 wild peach trees across 270 acres, turning the landscape into a sea of pink each spring.

After soaking in the beauty of Gala, we’ll drive up to Sejila Pass. On clear days, you could catch a glimpse of the Namjagbarwa Peak, which stands majestically like a spear piercing the sky. Next, we’ll go to Lulang Forest, where a warm welcome awaits you from a local Gongbu Tibetan family. Here, you’ll get to roll up your sleeves to make sweet tea and pancakes with the hosts, try your hand at traditional archery (cost included), and enjoy a delicious homemade Tibetan dinner to end the day on a high note.

Day 2: Lulang - Pomi Peach Flower Valley - Gangyun Forest - Rawuk Tso

Attractions: Lulang Forest, Bomi Peach Blossom Valley, Gang Spruce Forest
    Meals: Breakfast
    Hotel: Rawuk Lakeside Hotel

Starting in Lulang, known as the “Switzerland of the East,” today’s journey takes you to appreciate ten miles of peach blossoms and Rawuk Lake. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Lulang is a lush valley filled with forests, meadows, and charming Tibetan villages. In the early morning, the Lulang Forest is shrouded in mist and the sea of flowers in the pasture adds a touch of poetry to this highland meadow, making it an excellent choice for hiking and photography.

Then we move into Bomi Peach Blossom Valley. Every spring, the valley transforms into a sea of pink, with wild peach blossoms as far as the eye can see. Next, we explore the Gang Spruce Forest, a place filled with towering trees, mossy ground, and rich wildlife. Finally, we arrive at Ranwu Lake, a pristine lake surrounded by snow mountains. Its calm, mirror-like waters reflect the stunning surroundings, making it a perfect spot to soak in Tibet’s beauty.

Day 3: Rawuk Tso - Laigu Glacier - Lulang

Attractions: Laigu Glacier/Yalong Glacier, Ranwu Lake
    Meals: Breakfast
    Hotel: Lulang Homestay

Get ready for an awe-inspiring day as you explore the Laigu Glacier, one of Tibet’s most incredible natural wonders. Located near Ranwu Lake, this glacier is famous for its striking blue ice caves. Blue ice is not ordinary ice but is formed from deep glacial ice created by the compression of snow over thousands of years. Due to its dense structure, this ice absorbs the red wavelengths of sunlight and reflects pure blue light, presenting a magnificent blue color. This unique color can only be observed in cold climates where the ice remains intact, making it rare and precious.

After the end of March, the Blue Ice Lake of Laigu Glacier is closed, and we take a local off-road vehicle to the Yalong Glacier in the Laigu Glacier Canyon to see the millennia-old blue ice caves. The Yalong Glacier welcomes visitors all year long, offering a range of stunning blue ice views that change with the seasons. The distance to the glaciers may affect the time needed for tours, ranging from 2 hours to 6 hours. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Lulang Forest, stopping once more to admire the changing beauty of Ranwu Lake.

Tour Tips:

Knows before You Book:

1. Travelers to Tibet should have a moderate physical fitness level. Patients with serious hypertension, heart disease, asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, and cold should be restricted from traveling to Tibet.

2. Book at least 20 days in advance so the tour operator may have enough time to apply for and deliver your Tibet Travel Permit. Normally, it takes around 8-9 days to process your Tibet Travel Permit from the Tibet Tourism Bureau and another 3-4 days to deliver your Permit to your address in Chinese mainland.

3. A Tibet train/flight ticket is not included in our tour package. If you book with us, we can help you book your train/flight ticket. The train ticket to Lhasa is normally issued 15-60 days before departure. During peak seasons (from June to mid-October, during the Chinese Spring Festival and other public holidays in China), train tickets may be issued only 1-9 days before departure.

4. Price is based on double occupancy. Solo travelers who prefer to stay in a room by themselves need to pay for the additional charge of single room supplement. Please consult our travel consultants for specific prices.

5. Your airport/train station pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa needed to be arranged by the tour agency as foreign visitors are prohibited from independent traveling.

6. If you plan to travel to Lhasa via Kathmandu, please do not apply for a China L Visa in advance. You need to apply for a Tibet Group Visa from the China Embassy in Kathmandu via a travel agency. If you have your China L Visa, it will automatically expire when applying for a Tibet Group Visa.

7. Please read the Payment Methods, Terms and Conditions, and Cancellation policies before you book.

Knows after You Book:

1. Please provide photocopies of your passports and China L visas at least 15 days before the travel date, making sure we have enough time to apply for your Tibet Travel Permit. If you have other type of visas, please contact your travel consultant.

2. Make sure to bring warm and comfortable clothing and walking shoes for your Tibet trip.

3. It is recommended to bring spending cash for the whole trip. In Lhasa, you can withdraw money with a foreign bank card or change your foreign currency into Chinese Renminbi (RMB, CNY).

4. Travel insurance is provided by The People’s Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited (www.epicc.com.cn), which covers tourist accident risks only in China. Tourists are recommended to purchase additional insurance on their own.

5. Altitude Sickness is a common reaction in the plateau. Common symptoms include fatigue, insomnia, loss of appetite, headache, etc. Normally such symptoms will disappear in 2 days. You’d better consult your doctor and bring some medicine, such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen and nutrient supplements.

Do not photograph military facilities, and other politically sensitive areas; Do not accept any news media interview; Do not collect secret intelligence; Do not wave antisocial banners, yelling antisocial slogans; Do not use aerial cameras; Do not venture into areas beyond planned itineraries.

7. Souvenirs like knives, antiques, animal skulls, etc. are not allowed to be taken out of China at customs. Please don’t buy this kind of souvenir.
