I was part of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra during July 2024. It was a 16 days long program and the highlight or the most exciting part was the visit to the Charan Sparsh of Mt Kailash. We reached the Diraphuk camp on the first day of Kailash parikrama. The weather was perfect and permitted us to have darshan to the Charan Sparsh. We could see a clear view of Mt Kailash from our camp. We started from the camp thinking that it is nearby but as the trek progreessed it became extremely difficult to walk. There was no designated path. All we can do was walking towards the direction of the Kailash.
The view of the Mt Kailash was always giving extreme motivation in spite of the extreme difficulty i walking. After nearly 3 hours of walk we covered around 7 km distance and reached the foot hill or abode of the Mt Kailash. All of us were in a extreme hysteria on touching the feet of god. All of us did Namaskar to the god. The feeling was you actuall touched the GOD. We did pooja there at Charan. Spent 2 hours and returned back to the camp.
I touched the foot of Mount Kailash and did the Charan Sparsh.
