Incredibly, we completed this 11-day self-driving trip to Lhasa. We started from Chengdu, Sichuan, and then headed to western Sichuan. The autumn scenery in Xinduqiao was stunning with its golden poplar trees and fiery red maple leaves, creating a vibrant canvas of colors. The Jinsha River showcased nature's craftsmanship with its magnificent canyons, rugged peaks, and rich biodiversity. The most perilous part was the Seventy-Two Bends. This section of the road had almost no straight lines, consisting entirely of sharp curves and hairpin bends, with steep terrain and narrow paths. Combined with the unpredictable weather of the Tibetan plateau, driving through this segment was a thrilling experience for all of us. After overcoming numerous challenges, we finally arrived in a paradise on earth - Nyingchi, Tibet. The autumnal valleys of Lulang Forest were blanketed with a riot of colorful leaves, creating a picturesque scene. Cattle and sheep grazed leisurely on the golden grasslands of the pastures. At Mount NamchaBarwa, the autumn dawn revealed a breathtaking sight as the sunlight pierced through the clouds, casting a golden glow that intertwined with the snowy peaks. This journey was absolutely worth it. Our self-driving trip allowed us to truly appreciate the wonders of nature. Of course, we encountered many difficulties along the way, such as issues with refueling the car. However, the fact that we successfully reached Lhasa and witnessed so many beautiful landscapes is all thanks to the assistance from Tibet Horizon. They were truly worth choosing and made our trip unforgettable.
