8-Day Lhasa and Everest Tour - An Unexpected Encounter with Gyirong

Originally, I just wanted to fulfill my dream of visiting Mount Everest, but unexpectedly, I experienced the unique charm of Gyirong.

After enjoying the beautiful scenery from Lhasa to Mount Everest, we started to move towards Gyirong. The scenery suddenly changed from dry highlands to lush, humid valleys. Gyirong, a small town located on the China-Nepal border, is surrounded by forests, snow-capped mountains, and deep gorges. The air is fresh and moist, a complete contrast to what I had imagined in Tibet. We hiked along the canyon, saw local villagers working in the fields, and children running joyfully by the roadside. Prayer flags fluttered in the wind-it was truly a journey that soothed the soul.

The entire trip was well-organized. The group tour experience was great, our guide was professional and attentive, and everyone looked out for one another, making the journey relaxed and enjoyable.
