  • Mr. John from Australia, asked on July 7th, 2025

    Tibet Train Safty

I read online that the Qinghai-Tibet Train shakes violently while running. Is that true?

Mr. Passang Norbu from Tibet Horizon, answered on July 7th, 2025

Dear Mr. John, thank for your question.

On the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, some passengers may feel a slight shaking in the carriage, but overall "shake violently" is very rare and does not affect safety. Since its operation, there has been no train accident, nor any safety issues caused by shaking. Therefore, as long as you take the train normally, do not chase, or do dangerous things on the train, the train journey is safe and worry-free.
