Thank you, Tibet Horizon, for organizing such a perfect trip to Tibet for me. As a photography enthusiast, I was ecstatic to capture so many incredible birds of various kinds, which was truly exhilarating. On our second day in Lhasa, Mr. Tashi Wangyal, our guide from Tibet Horizon, took me to Lhalu Wetland for birdwatching. It was an amazing experience, perfectly matching my interests. The Lhalu Wetland Park is home to 62 species of rare birds, including black-necked cranes, grey cranes, ruddy shelducks, bar-headed geese, and red-billed gulls. I was particularly fascinated by the bar-headed geese, with their distinctive black-striped heads. Though they appear clumsy, they can run quite fast. Additionally, Mr. Tashi Wangyal guided me along the banks of the Lhasa River, where I participated in traditional festival activities and experienced the local folk culture. The next day, he took me to the Potala Palace. Inside, I was amazed by the numerous precious statues, murals, thangkas, scriptures, and other religious and historical artifacts. Mr. Tashi Wangyal shared many religious and cultural stories that I had never heard before, deepening my understanding of Tibetan culture. Towards the end of our trip, we traveled to the lower-altitude region of Nyingchi. Here, I saw even more bird species, such as black-throated tits, blue eared pheasants, and doves in Lulang Forest, and golden eagles and snow finches near Mt. Namcha Barwa. The variety and beauty of the birds were astounding, making this trip incredibly rewarding. Overall, this journey was absolutely perfect and astonishing. Mr. Tashi Wangyal's extensive knowledge greatly enriched my experience, providing me with a wealth of new information about birds. I highly recommend this tour to fellow bird enthusiasts.
