A Grateful Nature Journey in Tibet: Nyingchi & Bomi & Ranwu Lake

This trip has been one of the most touching experiences of my life. Our family of four had been planning this trip since last year, and we finally chose Nyingchi in China because my eldest son has a congenital heart condition, which prevents us from traveling to high-altitude places like Lhasa. The fresh air of Lulang Forest, the close-up views of Midui Glacier, the stunning Ranwu Lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains and forests, the culturally rich Laigu Village, the magnificent Laigu Glacier, and Basumtso Lake, considered a sacred lake by the Tibetan people, made our Nyingchi trip unforgettable. It wasn’t just the breathtaking scenery that left a lasting impression on us, but also the patience and timely decisions of our guide. During our trip, my son's heart condition suddenly flared up. My husband and I were at a loss, but our guide remained calm, immediately called for an ambulance, and performed CPR on our son. The doctor later told us that it was the guide's quick actions that saved our son's life.
