I participated in the 16-day Lhasa-Everest-Kailash-Mansarovar-Saga Dawa Festival small group tour, and it was an unforgettable spiritual and cultural journey. The trip began in Lhasa, where we explored iconic historical sites like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, immersing ourselves in the rich Tibetan cultural atmosphere. Then, we traveled to Everest Base Camp, where standing in the shadow of the world's highest peak was both awe-inspiring and humbling. The highlight of the trip was our visit to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, which are considered sacred by multiple religions. Completing the three-day Kora around Kailash was a profound experience, filled with reflection and reverence.
What made this journey even more special was the timing with the Saga Dawa Festival, which added a vibrant and spiritual atmosphere to our trip. The rituals, prayers, and festivities deepened my understanding of Tibetan Buddhism and its importance to the local people. Throughout the tour, the scenery was breathtaking—from snow-capped mountains to vast highland lakes, and the hospitality of the Tibetan people made the experience even more meaningful. This trip was not just a physical adventure, but a deeply enriching spiritual pilgrimage. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a transformative journey into the heart of Tibet.
